Fido mocks Democracy...

The esteemed FidoDroppings award went to Bob Satti for his ASSumption that a vote by the NC's of Region 10 would be indicative of the desires of the region as to the elected RC. The result of the voting was Kohl - 14 and Meadows - 8. FidoLose did not expect that Meadows would be able to oust Kohl from his cozy "for life" RCship due to the jaded voting method allowed by Satti. The NC's are, for the most part, not elected in R10, and many of the NC's operate their nets as little fiefdoms. While Satti had instructed Kohl to "deal" with the fiefdom problems in R10 when Kohl was appointed R10C by Satti, Kohl's method of dealing with them was to indeed create more powerful fiefdoms whose leaders were faithful to Kohl without question.

If Satti does not allow a sysop level vote for RC, then Region 10 will be saddled with King Kohl for an indeterminate time period. The news of several R10 sysops throwing in the towel and leaving Fido completely have reached us at FidoLose. If Satti does not intercede in this dasdardly situation, then we at FidoLose call for the intervention of the RCC to guide Satti and assist him to see the error of his ways. The vote was rigged from the onset by allowing only the NC's to vote and by allowing this, Satti actually insured that Kohl would win. While no one seems to know which nets had the courage to vote for Meadows, we hope that this information will not be given to Kohl since his penchant for seeking revenge is widely known. If he finds out this information, we predict NC changes being made in the normal Kohlish style for "no techical reason."
